To ask, “How many wins do the Winnipeg Goldeyes have in their last 10 games?,” one would find the answer in the question. Youth Sam Jones Jersey .  The Goldeyes ran their winning streak to 10 games with an 8-4 win over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks Saturday night at Newman Outdoor Field before 3,990 spectators, including a small, vocal crowd of Winnipeg fans.  The win increases Winnipegs lead to franchise record 8 1/2 games in the American Associations North Division over the St. Paul Saints and matches a franchise record 10 victories in a row.  “It was a good effort all around,” Goldeyes pitching coach Jamie Vermilyea said on the Jewel 101 post-game show. “Chandler (Barnard) filled up the zone early and often and the guys were swinging the bats. Its been a broken record for those guys lately. “The guys are doing well with situational hitting and taking advantage of the RBI opportunities.”  The Goldeyes consistently pounded on Fargo starter Jake Laber by scoring in five consecutive innings from second to sixth innings.  Winnipeg got on the scoreboard in the top of the second when Ryan Pineda beat out a double play ball, which allowed Brock Bond to score from third.  The Goldeyes went up 2-0 in the top of the third, as Casey Haerther scored on a Donnie Webb sac fly. In the top of the fourth, the Goldeyes created some breathing room for themselves when Tyler Kuhn hit a two-RBI triple with one out. Kuhn then scored on a Josh Mazzola sac fly, for what stood up to be the game-winning run.  Reggie Abercrombie added a triple himself in the top of the fifth, which scored Webb. Abercrombie then scored on a Luis Alen sac fly.  The Goldeyes completed their scoring streak in the top of the sixth when Kuhn scored on an RBI single by Ray Sadler.  During the offensive onslaught, Goldeyes starter Barnard retired 11 RedHawk batters in a row from the second to fifth innings. Fargo finally got to Barnard in the bottom of the sixth when Ronnie Bourquin hit a three-run home run. Barnard rebounded to retire three of the next four batters he faced to get out of the inning.  The RedHawks added a run in the bottom of the eighth and made it interesting with two runners on the base in the bottom of the ninth, but Chris Kissock struck out Nic Jackson to end the game.  The Goldeyes have now won five consecutive series.  Haerther paced Winnipeg with a four-for-five night at the plate to up his league-leading batting average to .427, while Kuhn had two RBI.  Bond was the only player not to register a hit for the Goldeyes, who had 16 hits in the game.  Barnard went 6 1/3 innings for his third consecutive win in as many starts for the Goldeyes.  “When hes aggressive with that sinker, hes going to be good,” Vermilyea said.  Laber suffered the loss for Fargo. Winnipeg tagged him for eight runs on 13 hits.  The series finale goes Sunday afternoon in Fargo at 1 p.m. Ethan Hollingsworth (2-0, 2.55) will take the ball for Winnipeg against Fargos Brian Ernst (3-4, 6.60). Youth Troy Fumagalli Jersey .com) - The Los Angeles Kings peppered Ryan Miller with shot after shot. Wholesale Broncos Jerseys . The transfer fee for what Arsenal called a "long-term" deal was undisclosed but is thought to be in the region of 16 million euros ($27 million). Chambers continues the exodus of players from Southampton this summer, following the departures of Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Dejan Lovren to Liverpool and Luke Shaw to Manchester United. "We are very pleased that Calum has agreed to join us," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said. "The way he adapted to the Premier League last season with Southampton at a young age shows that he has tremendous quality. "He has a lot of the attributes that we look for in a young player and I am sure that he will do well with us." Chambers, who is currently captain of the England under-19 side, made his Premier League debut on the opening day of lasst season and went on to appear in 22 league games. Wholesale Broncos Jerseys Free Shipping. "I am so happy to be signing for Arsenal," Chambers said. "They are a team I have much admired for their playing style, and a team who have been one of the top sides in Europe for many years. "Im looking forward to joining up with my new teammates today and beginning preparation for the season ahead." Southampton indicated it had no choice. "Calum made it clear to us that he did not see his future at Southampton," executive director Les Reed said. "As such, it was crucial that we were able to negotiate a substantial fee that also reflects the work our staff have put into Calums development since he joined the club at the age of eight. "Our position remains unchanged in that we are determined to keep our best young players at the club ... It is important in the transfer window to remain calm, resilient and above all patient. Pat Kaleta set up the goal with a backhand pass from the boards. It was Kaletas first point of the season and his first assist since March 7, 2012.Foligno scored to make it 2-0 with 6:55 left in the first period. It was the sixth time in seven games the Panthers have fallen behind in the first period. We have to be better in the first period, Florida defenceman Brian Campbell said.Campbell brushed off the suggestion that playing on the second night of a back-to-back contributed to the Panthers poor start.I dont think good teams use that excuse, he said.Florida was better in the second period, scoring on its first two shots to tie the game less than five minutes in.Bergenheim knocked the puck in off Zadorovs skate 1:08 into the period, then sent a pass across the crease to set up Hayes tying goal at the 4:51 mark.Zadorov was on the ice for both of the Panthers second-period goals. That was just a bad couple of shifts, bad couple bounces, bad couple goals, Zadorov said. I just forgot about that, stepped on the ice and did my job.Jokinen gave Florida its first lead 57 seconds into the third period, scoring on a slap shot from the right circle off a crossing pass from Dave Bolland.Gionta took a long pass from Tyler Myers and scored on a wrist shot from the top of the right circle to tie the game 3-3 with 14:33 left in the third period.NOTES: The Sabres were down to four healthy defencemen by the end of regulation. NEW YORK -- Less than 12 hours after winning the Super Bowl, Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll already was talking about getting started on next season. Takkarist McKinley Youth Jersey . "The first meeting that well have will be tomorrow. ... Our guys would be surprised if we didnt," Carroll said Monday morning. "We really have an eye on whats coming, and we dont dwell on what just happened. Well take this in stride." He appeared at a news conference at a Manhattan hotel with linebacker Malcolm Smith, the MVP of Seattles 43-8 victory over Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on Sunday night. Carroll oversees a team with the fourth-youngest roster for a Super Bowl champion, with an average age of 26 years, 175 days, according to STATS. The youngest champs ever were the Pittsburgh Steelers who won the 1975 Super Bowl, and they collected a second consecutive title the next year. Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson just wrapped up his second season in the league, as did Jermaine Kearse, the receiver who caught one of the QBs two touchdown passes Sunday night. Doug Baldwin, who caught the other, is only three years into his pro career, as are star cornerback Richard Sherman and Smith, who at 24 is the fourth-youngest player to be the Super Bowl MVP. "Weve seen the effort that it takes to get to this point, and, obviously, well try to replicate that and do it again," Smith said. "Were looking forward to the next challenges and guys having a target on their back and people trying to come after us." Smith became the third linebacker to earn Super Bowl MVP honours, thanks to a 69-yard touchdown return off an interception of regular-season MVP Manning in the first half and a fumble recovery in the second half. He said that during the game, some of his teammates were telling him, "You might be the MVP." "And I was like, No way. No way. Not me." Carroll said general manager John Schneider has positioned the Seahawks to be able to avoid the problems that can make it hard to repeat as NFL champions. Since Denver repeated in the 1999 game, only one team has won two Super Bowls in a row, the New England Patriots in 2004-05. Theres the need to replace players who leave via free agency. The need to pay other players with new, better-paying contracts. "John Schneider has done an extraordinary job of structuring this roster contractually, and with the vision of looking ahead, so that we can keep our guys together," Carroll said. "One of the things that happens every so often is teams have a big fallout after they win the Super Bowl. Were not in that situation." Carroll was reminded during Sundays game of some of his blowout victories in college football bowl games when he was a championship-winning coach at Southern California. "It felt like it. It looked like it. The score was like it," he said Monday. "I really cant tell you exactly what it is, but somethings going on, because I sat back there at the end of the first quarter and said, Shoot, here it goes," he said. "Bang, bang, bang, bang, and its 22-0 at halftime." Carroll described the lopsided nature of the game as "kind of like an avalanche," an interesting choice of words given the hubbub last week -- and, really, for months before that -- over whether the first outdoor Super Bowl at a cold-weather site would be affected by snow. Instead, the weather wasnt a factor Sunday at the stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., where the temperature was 49 degrees at kickoff and only some light rain fell. On Monday morning, meanwhile, driving snow hit the area and forecasts called for up to 8 inches. "I dont know how (NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell) pulled it off, but he pulled off the weather in perfect fashion," Carroll joked. "The NFL is powerful." Takkarist McKinley Falcons Jersey . FIFA said the suspension was requested by ethics prosecutor Michael Garcia, making Beckenbauer the first person to be punished as a result of the case. Beckenbauer refused "repeated requests for his assistance, including requests that he provide information during an in-person interview or in response to written questions provided in both English and German," FIFA said in a statement. Takkarist McKinley Womens Jersey . The Thunder reclaimed the home-court advantage LA took with a Game 1 win on Friday night with a 118-112 road win in Game 3.Philadelphia, PA - Two of the highest scoring teams in FBS play meet in the first College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Oregon is second averaging 47 points per game while Ohio State is fifth at 45 ppg. Given the fact both teams have lit up the scoreboard this season, one would assume the final score in the title game will reach epic numbers. Even the posted total is high at 75 points. Playing into that method of thinking, it is easy to roll with the over, especially since Ohio State has gone under the number just once since its opening game against Navy and that came in the snow against Minnesota. However, try not to get suckered into wagering on the over so quickly. Remember, only three of the Buckeyes posted totals this season were higher than 60 points, which is over two touchdowns less than the number for this matchup. Ohio State is averaging 43 points per game in its last five contests with the Buckeyes scoring over 42 points just once. Most folks would say the semifinal game against Alabama was a high-scoring affair but 42 and 35 comes to 77, which is only two points higher than the posted total of 75 for this game. It is true Oregon is more explosive offensively than the Crimson Tide but not by much. The Ducks are averaging about 70 more yards per game - akin to about one touchdown drive per contest. Furthermore, the Ducks dont turn the ball over like Alabama does, which means their defence will not allow easy points for the opposition. Oregon is No. 1 in FBS play with just 10 turnovers, two less than the next closest set of teams. Dont forget, over one quarter of the 77 points scored in the Ohio State-Alabama game were off turrnovers while almost half of the 79 total points in the Oregon-Florida State contest came off turnovers. Duke Riley Womens Jersey. Oregon has topped the 100-point mark in its last two games combined, while reaching the 40-point mark in nine straight contests. Still, the Ducks have been known to score far fewer points in bowl games than they have during the regular season. During the regular season, the Ducks averaged 36, 47, 46, 50, 46 and 47 points per game, respectively, since 2009. Their bowl totals since 2009 have been 17, 19, 45, 35, 30 and 59, respectively. The one outlier from the second set is the 59 points in this years game versus Florida State, a game Oregon scored just 18 first-half points, with five of the six second-half touchdowns coming off turnovers. Offence is not the only area where these two teams excel. Ohio State is 26th nationally in scoring defence while Oregon is 27th. Ohio States defence allowed just 21 points (not counting points off turnovers) to Alabama and held Wisconsin scoreless in the previous game. Oregon has held its opponents to 20 points or less in four consecutive contests and six of the last eight. Oregons offensive postseason woes have been well documented but the defence usually comes to play. Over the last three years, the Ducks have allowed fewer points in the bowl game than their defensive point per game average during the regular season. This championship game certainly wont be a defensive struggle but it also wont be an offensive shootout. Look for both teams to score in the 30s meaning the final tally will be somewhere in the 60s to low 70s. In other words, consider taking the under on the 75-point line. Cheap Washington Redskins Jerseys Cheap Kansas City Chiefs Jersesys Cheap Cincinnati Bengals Jersesys Cheap Atlanta Falcons Jersesys Cheap Jacksonville Jaguars JersesysCheap Los Angeles Rams Jerseys Cheap Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jerseys Cheap Arizona Cardinals Jersesys Cheap Indianapolis Colts Jersesys Cheap Buffalo Bills Jersesys Cheap Tennessee Titans Jerseys Cheap New York Jets Jerseys Cheap Carolina Panthers Jersesys Cheap Baltimore Ravens Jersesys Cheap Houston Texans Jersesys Cheap Detroit Lions Jersesys' ' '
Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork. Youth Jets Jerseys .com) - The Kansas Jayhawks play their last non-conference road game of the regular season on Monday, as they travel to the City of Brotherly Love to take on the Temple Owls at the Wells Fargo Center. Bill Selfs Jayhawks have just one loss on their resume and that came in humbling fashion to top-ranked Kentucky (72-40) back on Nov. 18. Since then however, Kansas has reeled off eight straight wins and moved to 9-1 on the season with Saturdays 96-69 rout of Lafayette. Fran Dunphys Owls are 7-4 on the season, but have won three of their last four games to provide some stability as the calendar year closes. Temple posted a lopsided win at Delaware in its last outing (82-62) and newly eligible players like senior Jesse Morgan and junior Devin Coleman played big roles in the win. Kansas has won the last three meetings with Temple to take an 8-3 series lead. The Jayhawks held on for a win last year in Lawrence against the Owls, 69-62. The Jayhawks put on an offensive clinic in blowing by Lafayette this past weekend, as the team shot a cool .500 from the floor, including an impressive .522 from behind the arc (12-of-23). Five players notched double figures in the win, but no one had as good as game as Kelly Oubre Jr. In just his second start of the year, the freshman guard erupted for his first double-double, finishing with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Frank Mason III put up 14 points and just missed his own double-double with nine assists. Wayne Selden Jr. added 12 points, followed by Svi Mykhailiuk (11 pts), Jamari Traylor (11 pts) and Cliff Alexander (10 pts). The offensive proficiency is a bit of an anomaly for Kansas, which has modest numbers at that end of the floor on the season. The Jayhawks enter this contest averaging 72.0 ppg on .426 shooting. The team does however, hold a strong +7.2 rebounding margin. Perry Ellis is tops on the team in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 13.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per outing. Mason is next in line at 10.9 ppg. Selden isnt in double digits at this time, but is eager to join at 9.4 ppg. Temple is also coming off a rather strong offensive showing, as the Owls used 16 3-pointers to make light work of the Blue Hens last week. Morgan tied for team-high honors with Quenton DeCosey, as the pair put up 16 points apiece. Will Cummings was instrumental in the win as well, recording a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists. Coleman added nine points in 10 minutes of work off the bench. Long known for strong defensive play, Temple has exemplified some of those attributes this season. The Owls are allowing 62.9 ppg and holding foes under 40 percent shooting (.391). The 3-point barrage against Delaware however, has not been the norm for Temple, which still shoots under 30 percent from long range on the year (.295). Morgan sits atop the stats page in scoring but has played just the one game. Consistent contributors though have been DeCosey and Cummings, who are netting 14.8 and 14.5 ppg, respectively. Wholesale Jets Jerseys . Torres missed all but five games during the regular season after undergoing surgery on Sept. 26 to repair a torn ligament in his right knee. The Sharks forward missed the first 59 regular-season games and returned to play the next five of six before sitting out the final 17. Torres said he probably wont know until game day whether hell be in the lineup for the Sharks when the first-round series opens in San Jose. "Today was a better day," Torres said after practice Tuesday. "I feel like were getting on the right track. So I feel good about that. It will probably be Thursday when we make a decision, but today was a better day for sure." Sharks coach Todd McLellan said Torres "looked really good." "He looked fresh and alert and looked like he was Raff, the way hes supposed to look," McLellan said. Torres was injured on Sept. 20 in a collision with Anaheim Ducks forward Emerson Etem during an exhibition game. He underwent surgery six days later. After the NHLs break for the Sochi Olympics, Torres made his season debut on Feb. 28 against the Philadelphia Flyers and scored two goals in a 7-3 victory. He took the next game off then played four straight games, scoring a goal and recording two assists during that stretch as the Sharks beat New Jersey, lost to Carolina then beat Pittsburgh and Montreal. Torres appeared to have made a successful recovery from knee surgery, but that MMontreal game on March 8 turned out to be his last regular-season appearance. Sam Darnold Jersey. "I got a few bounces to go my way," Torres said. "At the end of the day I just go by how I feel. Sometimes I feel terrible out there and score a couple goals, kind of how I did in Philly. I know physically I could be a lot better there. It was nice to contribute for five games, for sure, dont get me wrong. I just want to be able to feel good at the end of the game." Last season Torres played in only the first game of the Sharks second-round series against Los Angeles, which they lost in seven games. He was suspended for the rest of that series for a hit to the head of Kings forward Jarret Stoll. That marked the fourth career suspension for Torres. If he does play against Los Angeles, Torres plans to play his typical aggressive, hard-hitting game, but he knows theres a line he cant cross. "I understand that Ive got a little bit more of a target on my back," said Torres, who signed a three-year, $6 million contract extension in June. "Ill have to be careful out there, for sure." Losing Torres after Game 1 against the Kings last season was a huge blow to the Sharks, who had swept Vancouver in the first round. Getting Torres back to face the Kings this year would provide a big boost, Sharks centre Logan Couture said. "I dont know if he is going to (play), but hed bring energy," Couture said. "His style of game, hes hard on the forecheck. He creates momentum for our team. The crowd enjoys when hes on the ice. Hopefully, well get him back."Cheap Washington Redskins Jerseys Cheap Kansas City Chiefs Jersesys Cheap Cincinnati Bengals Jersesys Cheap Atlanta Falcons Jersesys Cheap Jacksonville Jaguars Jersesys Cheap Los Angeles Rams Jerseys Cheap Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jerseys Cheap Arizona Cardinals Jersesys Cheap Indianapolis Colts Jersesys Cheap Buffalo Bills Jersesys Cheap Tennessee Titans Jerseys Cheap New York Jets Jerseys Cheap Carolina Panthers Jersesys Cheap Baltimore Ravens Jersesys Cheap Houston Texans Jersesys Cheap Detroit Lions Jersesys ' ' '

MEMPHIS, Tenn. Cyber Monday Lions Jerseys . -- Chris Crawford hit a 3-pointer with 1:36 left to put Memphis ahead to stay, and the 21st-ranked Tigers beat seventh-ranked Louisville 72-66 Saturday, sweeping the season series from the Cardinals. Memphis (22-7, 11-5 American Athletic Conference) trailed 65-57 with 4:45 left when Michael Dixon Jr. scored six straight, jumpstarting the Tigers who scored 15 of the final 16 points. Louisville (24-5, 13-3) snapped a seven-game winning streak by going cold after taking its biggest lead of the game. The Cardinals scored only on a Chris Jones hit a free throw with 40.3 seconds to go. Montrezl Harrell scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Russ Smith scored 15 of his 19 points in the first half and fouled out in the final minute. Luke Hancock had 11. Dixon finished with 18 for Memphis, which hadnt swept Louisville since 1996-97. Geron Johnson scored 15 points. Austin Nichols added 14, and Crawford finished with 12 points, going 4 for 5 from beyond the arc. With No. 11 Cincinnati losing at UConn earlier Saturday, the Cardinals had the chance to move atop the league standings with only two games left with a win. But they couldnt match Memphis down the stretch. Dixon made four straight free throws starting with 4:23 left and added a layup. Louisville coach Rick Pitino put Smith back in the game with four fouls, but Johnson stole the ball from the senior guard late in the shot clock and scored a layup with 2:35 left tying the game. Memphis scored 12 straight points before Jones free throw. This game was scrappy from the start before a sold-out crowd at the FedExForum as part of a doubleheader with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Grizzlies on Saturday night. The 18,375 fans were fired up for the Tigers lone shot in Memphis against Louisville as conference foes, reviving a rivalry that started back to the old Metro Conference. The Cardinals are moving to the Atlantic Coast Conference next season. The Tigers jumped out scoring the first six points and harassed Louisville into nine turnovers by halftime. Smith kept the Cardinals in the game by scoring 14 of their first 20 points. Memphis led 37-31 at halftime. But Louisville opened the second half outscoring the Tigers 13-4, and the Cardinals used a six-point spurt to take their first lead of the game. Harrell scored on a layup, then Jones -- a Memphis native -- hit a jumper with 16:14 remaining for Louisvilles first lead at 42-41. Smith added a layup forcing Memphis coach Josh Pastner to take a timeout. The teams swapped the lead four more times. Louisville took the lead again on a 3-pointer by Harrell with 10:40 left. Harrell, who was 1 of 2 beyond the arc all season, just beat the shot clock for the bucket and a 51-49 lead. Memphis pulled within 59-57 on a 3-pointer by Crawford from the left corner in front of the Tigers bench with 6:35 left. But senior David Pellom was called for a flagrant 1 for an elbow to Stephan Van Treese under the basket. He hit both free throws starting a 6-0 spurt that Harrell capped with a dunk with 4:45 left, giving Louisville its biggest lead. Black Friday Lions Jerseys . Butler is on the upswing, jumping into the Top-25 earlier in the week. The Bulldogs have won two straight decisions, and four of their last five altogether. Butler took down Creighton (64-61) and Seton Hall (77-57) in the teams last two outings to improve to 5-3 in Big East play. Marquette holds the advantage in the all-time series, 16-13, as these two teams will meet one other time later this season in Indianapolis. The sides split the two-game season series a year ago. Butler faced a tough test as the team hosted the then-24th ranked Seton Hall Pirates on Sunday, but it was the Bulldogs that came out and proved why they should be the ones ranked. Butler connected on 49.1 percent of its shots from the floor, and held the Pirates to just 36.7 percent shooting, which included a 4-of-24 mark from 3-point range. Andrew Chrabascz led the charge for the Bulldogs with 16 points, while Kellen Dunham scored 15 points, Roosevelt Jones added 12 and seven rebounds, Alex Barlow tallied 11 points with eight assists and six boards, and Kelan Martin came off the bench to net 10 points to round out the impressive offensive performance for Butler. Dunham currently leads Butler and ranks fourth in the Big East in scoring, netting 16.1 ppg this season on 43.9 percent shooting from thhe floor. Cheap Lions Store. The big man Jones has been a well-rounded surprise for the Bulldogs this season, averaging 13.2 ppg, with a team-leading 79 assists and a second-best 6.0 rpg mark. Chrabascz rounds out a trio of double-digit scorers for Butler at 10.0 ppg. Kameron Woods is the teams best rebounder, and ranks second in the Big East with 9.0 boards per outing. The Bulldogs as a unit are scoring 70.7 ppg, and are holding opponents to a league-best 60.1 ppg this season. Marquette connected on 42.4 percent of its shots from the floor in Wednesday nights contest against Seton Hall, but the Golden Eagles also watched and were seemingly powerless to stop a Pirates team that buried 13-of-26 from 3- point range, and a torrid scoring pace set by Sterling Gibbs. Matt Carlino did the best he could to keep his Eagles in the game, finishing with a team-best 16 points, adding in six rebounds and five assists. Sandy Cohen III added 11 points in the loss, while Juan Anderson and Derrick Wilson each chipped in with 10 points. Wilson dished out eight assists and had seven rebounds in the losing effort. Carlino is the only Marquette player to have started all 20 games this season for the Golden Eagles, and its clear why. The transfer guard from BYU is leading the charge in terms of scoring this season at 14.7 ppg with a team- best 68 assists and 29 steals. Duane Wilson (11.7 ppg) and Luke Fischer (10.2 ppg in 12 games played) round out a trio of double-digit scorers for Marquette this season. The Golden Eagles rank second to last, however, in the Big East in terms of scoring offense, with a 68.1 ppg clip. The team is also in the bottom portion of the league rankings in terms of scoring defense, allowing opponents to net 65.8 ppg this season. Cheap Washington Redskins Jerseys Cheap Kansas City Chiefs Jersesys Cheap Cincinnati Bengals Jersesys Cheap Atlanta Falcons Jersesys Cheap Jacksonville Jaguars Jersesys Cheap Los Angeles Rams Jerseys Cheap Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jerseys Cheap Arizona Cardinals Jersesys Cheap Indianapolis Colts Jersesys Cheap Buffalo Bills Jersesys Cheap Tennessee Titans Jerseys Cheap New York Jets Jerseys Cheap Carolina Panthers Jersesys Cheap Baltimore Ravens Jersesys Cheap Houston Texans Jersesys Cheap Detroit Lions Jersesys ' ' '

Her ranking plunged to 166th in the world in June, and she had struggled to rebuild her career after having right wrist surgery the previous August. Now shes glad she stuck around. Pennetta routed Agnieszka Radwanska 6-2, 6-1 on Sunday in the BNP Paribas Open to win the biggest title of her career. "After so many years, so much work and everything, this is the moment I always waited for," she said. "And its coming when you dont expect. It was something I was waiting since long time, and finally I have a good trophy in my hands." Actually, the crystal trophy was so heavy, she didnt hoist it for photographers. The 32-year-old Italian became the third-oldest winner of the desert tournament after Martina Navratilova, who won at age 33 and again at 34 in 1990-91. It was Pennettas first title since winning at Marbella in 2010. "We are old, but we still good athletes," Pennetta said. "We are strong. We have so many years on the tour, and we know how to handle the emotion and everything." Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer resumed their long rivalry in the mens final later in the day. As the 20th seed, Pennetta became the lowest seed to win the title. She came in ranked 21st and is projected to rise to No. 12 in the world Monday in the WTA Tour rankings. She beat top-seeded Li Na in the semifinals on her way to winning the title worth $1 million. The green-white-and-red Italian flag fluttered in the breeze from the stands as Pennetta ran to hug her team. She got doused by a bottle of water from Italian mens player Fabio Fognini in celebration. "It was hot, so it was good," she said, smiling. Radwanska, seeded second, was bothered with a left knee injury during the final. She twice calleed for the trainer in the second set and had her knee heavily taped. Harry Carson Jersey. She was in tears apologizing to the sympathetic crowd afterward, saying she was unable to run. "I had the tape stronger and stronger every changeover," Radwanska said. "I thought that going to help, but not really. Didnt work." It equaled the most one-sided womens final in the tournaments 26-year history. Maria Sharapova lost just three games in beating Elena Dementieva in 2006, and Lindsay Davenport dropped three games in defeating Irina Spirlea in 1997. "This one is one of the best tournaments in the world," Pennetta said. "Its mine today." Pennetta threatened from the first game of the match, when she held two break points and had one more in the third game. She finally converted in the fifth game on Radwanskas errant backhand, then broke again in the seventh game on the Poles forehand error. Pennetta won the final five games to wrap up the first set, 6-2. Radwanska held for a 1-0 lead in the second before she got the trainer on court and Pennetta called for her coach. Pennetta staved off a break point to hold at 1-1, the last challenge Radwanska offered before it became evident she wasnt herself. Radwanska said she hurt her knee a few days ago in practice. "I just didnt expect it was going to be much worse today," she said. "But when the pain is so big that nothing is working -- no painkillers, no tape -- that means it is bad." Pennettas lob over Radwanska, who didnt even try to go after it, helped her earn the break and a 2-1 lead. The Italian swept the last six games, with Radwanska ending the match on three consecutive errors. She earned $500,000. SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Chad Williams Cardinals Jersey . - Phil Mickelson played the final 11 holes in 5 under to salvage a 2-under 69 on Thursday in the first round of the Phoenix Open. The three-time champion bogeyed his first hole — the par-4 10th — after driving left into a hospitality tent. He had a double bogey on the par-5 15th, driving left into the water and hitting his approach in the water in front of the green.I came out and I just made a bunch of dumb mistakes and Im 3 over, Mickelson said. I made a birdie on 17 and followed with one on 18, and that really turned the round back around. I ended up playing the front nine really solid with 3 under and hit a lot of good shots on some holes I made pars, as well, and feel much better.Making his 26th appearance in the event, Lefty rebounded with the birdies on Nos. 17 and 18 — hitting to 5 feet on the par-4 18th — and added birdies on Nos. 3, 8 and 9.Im in a position now if I get hot tomorrow I can get right back in it, Mickelson said. If I end up shooting 1 over, 2 over, I end up having to get a hot round just to get in the middle of the pack, so this was a big round to get it to under par.The 44-year-old Mickelson was five strokes behind clubhouse leader Ryan Palmer when play was suspended because of darkness. He tied for 24th last week in La Quinta in his first start since the Ryder Cup in September and is winless since the 2013 British Open.Mickelson won at TPC Scottsdale in 1996, 2005 and 2013. I think the course needed it, just a little tweak. Obviously, two or three holes that have changed quite a bit, but a lot of it is little tweaks. Visually its fantastic. Every hole looks great. Change in the bunkers really made a difference. I mean, I like every single thing they did. Thats not often you hear that when guys make changes, and that said, I think it needed it. I think it came out fantastic. The Scottsdale-based Scot opened with a 66. He eagled the par-5 third hole, hitting a 266-yard shot 4 feet from the back left pin.It was kind of a perfect number for a cup 5-wood, Laird said. Thats a new green. Youve got to use the big ridge that runs across the middle. It came out just perfect. Used the slope.___RECORD CROWD: Tournament officials estimated the crowd at 118,461, shattering the Thursday mark of 88,113 set last year. The event counts cars in figuring its estimates. The par-3 16th hole will generate about $12 million in ticket revenue this week. There are 228 skyboxes on the stadium hole at close to $50,000 each and 3,500 general-admission seats.___RAINY FORECAST: Periods of rain were expected Friday, with forecasters saying a half-inch to an inch could fall. The high is expected to be 60 degrees. Morning rain was forecast Saturday with a high of 64. It is expected to 70 and mostly sunny Sunday.___DIVOTS: Canadian Graham DeLaet lives in Scottsdale. Its nice to be home and doesnt really feel like a tournament week until you get out here, DeLaet said after a 67. Sleeping in your own bed is always great. ... Daniel Berger hit a 358-yard on the 341-yard 17th, leaving a chip back to the green that he hit 3 feet to set up a birdie. The French team swept the podium in the event. The Canadian Olympic Committee, along with the Slovenian Olympic Committee, are alleging that French team staffers changed the shaping of the athletes ski pants for better aerodynamics. The ad hoc division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport is scheduled to hear the case Saturday night. Leman finished fourth in the final to Jean-Frederic Chapuis, Arnaud Bovolenta and Jonathan Midol of France in Thursdays competition. Slovenias Filip Flisar placed second in the small final and would be bumped to bronze if the appeal is won. Russia would win the silver. The Canadians and Slovenians initially requested that the world governing body of skiing disqualify the French competitors. But the FIS competition jury decided the protests couldnt be heard because they werent filed on time after the race. A decision by the CAS is expected Sunday. The Canadian Olympic Committee didnt immediately respond to an email request for comment. Leman reached Thursdays final after dominating the two previous rounds, but got off to a slow start in the medal round and then fell while trying furiously to catch up. Sam Bradford Cardinals Jersey. "I was in disbelief, almost, when I was lying there," he said after the race. "But its part of skicross." It was a second Olympics in a row to end in disappointment for Leman. At the Vancouver Games, he didnt get to compete after fracturing a leg during a practice run. "I just feel slightly better, right now, than I did in Vancouver," he said. "It sucked watching my teammates from the stands, and all I wanted here is a chance. "I gave myself a really good chance today, and that Im really proud of that, but it sucks to be so close to the podium." Leman shrugged off talk he may have been intentionally shut out by the French skiers. He fell too far behind from the start and only briefly had a one-on-one battle with the last of the three leaders. "No, they were all trying for it, they were going for it," he said. "They skied the same as if it had been three different nations." "Everyone was trying to pass and thats in part why I ended up getting stuck on the outside. I probably should have tried going inside, but we have to make split-second decisions. You cant get them all (right) over a day of skicross.
